OUR AIM
The aim of LGBT Cancer Support is to provide members and friends or family of the LGBT community with information, support and guidance on Cancer from initial diagnosis through to survivorship and end of life care, without fear of reprisals or discrimination. more details are contained within our values.
OUR MISSION
The mission of LGBT Cancer Support is to initially provide an online presence where LGBT individuals, their friends or family, can seek advice, support and guidance on Cancer related issues, from initial diagnosis through to survivorship and end of life care. This may take the form, in part but not exclusively, of information being provided or peer to peer support through forums and message boards etc.
We would be keen to encourage, and where possible, facilitate meetings of like minded individuals who would like to provide and share support or experiences. We will promote the group through targeted advertisements in the LGBT press, through other LGBT groups and in person at LGBT targeted events in addition to any other promotional tool available which is deemed to be appropriate by the board.
OUR VISION
The Vision of LGBT Cancer Support is that whether as an LGBT Cancer sufferer, the family and friends of an LGBT Cancer sufferer, or as an LGBT person with friends or family suffering from Cancer, the service will be provided in such a way that the individual(s) do not feel prejudiced, or uncomfortable, or in any doubt that their life choices will impair or influence the support given. Anyone approaching LGBT Cancer Support should each feel they have a safe and comfortable environment, whether online or in person, in which to talk freely about their experiences or concerns about cancer without fear of reprisals or discrimination.

LGBT Cancer Support Values are defined as:-
• High quality, factual information
• Trust and trustworthiness
• Openness and honesty
